Your body and your gym equipment are the same when you don't invest in quality gym flooring. It is the very foundation of a safe, productive and effective workout, and is often overlooked.
Your body needs maximum shock absorption from the stressors of a tough workout. Letting your joints and muscle take the impact of jarring movements is a sure fire way to suffer strain and pain - regardless of how much you warm up, cool down and even maintaining perfect form.

Gym Flooring - Frequently asked questions
Can I install directly on top of my floor?
On top of concrete, wood, or pvc - yes (as long as it is clean, dry and level)
You can lay directly over carpet - however it only recommed to do so over low-pile. If you have thick, soft carpet, it can cause stability issues (i.e. it could shift and move).
If you have thick pile/plush carpet that you don’t want to remove, it is recommended to put down a sub-floor first to create a stable and safe foundation.
What kind of Gym Flooring should I choose?
That will depend on your chosen activities.
Rubber Floor mats - ideal for laying under fitness/cardio machines as well as for weightlifting areas.
Astro Gym Grass - this is great for areas where sprints, sled training, agility training, tire flipping. It creates a realistic grass springboard for those who need it for their functionational training.
Weightlifting drop pads - Do you need protection from weights being dropped from a height? Our drop pads are perfect. Not only will they protect your equipment and stop them from rolling away but they will also reduce noise levels. No more obnoxious loud bangs from heavy deadlifts or crossfit exercises.
Deadlift platform/ Lifting platform - the perfect accessory for those who focus alot on deadlifting. These platforms give maximum shock absorption. Our platforms comes with band peg attachments so you can do dynamic lifting or even just banded stretches. This platform will give you a versatile but contained space for your lifting requirements in any room.
Wooden Squat/Dead Lifting Platforms - These are custom made, so get in touch to order these (lead times can vary).
How thick should my Gym Flooring be?
For light exercises (yoga, pilates, cardio sessions, even light weight training), you should be able to use anything up to 15mm.
For heavier weight training, then 20mm and upwards would be recommended. Although our 15mm EPDM rubber floor mats are still durable enough to take this level of training as well.
How long does Gym Flooring last?
When maintained properly (think good and regularly cleaning), our gym flooring will last over 10 years and longer depending on your gym setup and how intense traffic and workout are.
Can I install Gym Flooring myself?
Yes! It is super easy to install but we can install it for you if you don’t want to do it yourself - just make sure to let us know that installation is required.
